The purpose of the Energy Council is as follows:

• Support efforts in alternative energy and sustainable business practices in the community.
• Cultivate relationships with groups having similar interests and partner on opportunities to educate the business community and the general public.
• Discuss current issues in the energy sector and how to relate to business.
