Texas U.S. House of Representatives Contacts

With input from various policy work sessions, prepare and coordinate our State legislative agenda for the Lubbock business community.  Review and take appropriate action on statewide business issues

• Panhandle and South Plains Day in Austin (February 26-27, 2007)
• West Texas Day in Austin (if planned)
• Lubbock Day in Austin (if planned)
• State Legislator Breakfast/Luncheon (May 2007)

Host periodic candidate forums allowing members to meet and hear candidates as well as participate in impact issues of direct interest to the business community.

Monitor Chamber’s legislative package and identify issues that may impact Lubbock businesses.

Use Survey Monkey to identify and gauge members’ responses.

Coordinate with the City of Lubbock and Texas Tech University to ensure the Lubbock community is well represented with our legislators. 

Prepare and coordinate the federal legislative agenda for the Lubbock business community.  Plan and coordinate the 9th annual Washington D.C. Fly-In (March 2007) with Texas Tech University officials.  Schedule sessions with U.S. Senators and Representatives as well as staffs to discuss legislative agenda.
