Ten years ago, the 1996-1997 Leadership Lubbock Class completed their class project that made a lasting impact on the Lubbock community – New Century Leadership, a leadership development and community orientation program for local high school juniors. New Century Leadership is an eight-month program modeled after Leadership Lubbock, which is a leadership program for working professionals, that’s designed to teach Lubbock area youth about the importance of personal and community responsibility. Throughout the past 10 years of New Century Leadership, more than 200 high school students have completed the program.
