Using technology to retain local talent will be the focus of the Chamber’s Technology Awards Luncheon, sponsored by AT&T, to be held Tuesday, April 15. Doors open at 11 a.m. for booth visitation, serving line opens at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin shortly before noon. The luncheon will be at the Baker Conference Center on the campus of Lubbock Christian University.
Keynote speakers will be Terri Patterson, Director of Workforce Development, and Gary Hatfield, Research Coordinator, both with the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance. The topic will be “Leveraging Technical Resources for Workforce Development.”
This luncheon also features our annual awards in CyberPresence and Innovation in Technology in for-profit and non-profit categories. The CyberPresence award recognizes innovative, friendly, and strategic use of web technology to positively contribute to the area and community, and the Innovation in Technology award recognizes innovative and strategic application of technology that positively impacts the region.
Prices are $25 for members and $35 for prospective members who register before 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 8; registrations received after that time will be charged an additional $10/person. Table sponsorships are available for $300; this includes an acknowledgement of sponsorship during the luncheon. Other sponsorships are available as well, including opportunities for displaying a booth at the event.
